Because of different landscape, environment and culture, Ladakh has altogether something different to offer. Its past has left many historical monuments and castles, each with a story of its own. Its Buddhist history, which is perhaps, the largest crowd puller has lots to offer, both for your eye as well as your soul. It is this Buddhist art and culture that seems a mystery for many who could not understand.
For prehistoric arts, Ladakh has one of the most interesting of the Rock Arts (petroglyphs) that would leave you wondering what the artist had in mind while making the figures and symbols. Many of them are indeed a mystery to decipher. For adventurers, it has plenty of adventure sports to offer. For a biologist, there are some rare, elusive and magnificent fauna and flora. For a conservationist, ecology and traditional culture will be their concern. So on and so forth.
