Trekking in Ladakh.

The number of trekking routes in/through Ladakh is enourmous.  Depending upon the your time, budget, your health, destinations, month of trek etc. I have tried to table it for a quick preview. Your guide or your travel agent (your are advised to have one) can  definitely give you the details of any route that you choose, particularly with the suitability of the route  in that particualr month. Most importantly for the trekking equipment that you might need for your convenience. Almost all the trekking routes in Ladakh will pass through places that do not have any road connections, except at the place of start and finish. Unless for a very short route, most of  your belongings and other stuffs will be carried on horses, donkey or even Yaks. Many routes passes through high mountain passes, at times you may also need special protective gears or medical equipments.
